Rev. Bernard Lee, S.M.

Profile Updated: April 14, 2009
Residing In: San Antonio, TX USA
Occupation: University Vice President, Professor of Theology
School Story:

After Mcride (195801963), seminary in Fribourg, Switzerland. Docotral work at Graduate Theologic al Union, University of California, Berkely--teaching and writing ever since in several Universities. Now at St. Mary's Un iversity, San Antonio (my home town). I have been a Marianist since 1956, and among my fondest memories are my first five years of teaching at McBride (58-63). I loved teaching then, and I do now (as old as I am!). My McBride years are among some of the fondest of my life. I remember with great affection both students and the Brothers with whom I lived. In the last few weeks I have had multiple e-mails with Frank Bono, and managed to catch up (through him) with a number of others. Would love to hear from anyone!

Bernie, hope this finds you well in your sixties year of profession in 1956. You meant so much to so many of us, a great example of a life meaningfully lived - and more yet to come.

I remember Dan vividly and with much delight, from our time together at McBride, and from many philosophical conversations long into the night. He was a good friend and a lovely human being.
