I help the veterans by managing the patient library at our hospital that basically tries to provide for the long term care patients.
Books, magazines, and any other donation I'll accept.
Volunteering is the manner in which programs as this care for our veterans, needed, but 'no cash to do it!'.
Ii keeps me with something to do, come on by.

One thing that probably helped while going in the military, simply taking my time.
That so long a time was riding the bus to school, then the actual misson, and of course that almost two hours back home...it trained me for later.
So much can easily be done while in the processing, not necessarily while functioning.
