Joe was my friend at McBride and we hung out together many times. He was brilliant at physics and anything electronic. Like Joe Schulte, I also remember Joe's radio station that he ran out of his house. I was always amazed that he could put that together out of bits and pieces and that it worked with limited range. The fact that he worked in communications at the White House while in the Air Force attests to his superior and ahead of his time knowledge as the Air Force does not just put anyone in that position. We lost track of each other but met up again at the McBride 25th anniversary. He invited me to his house and tried to explain his wine collection and cooler setups. He was a wonderful person and I will miss him.
