11/08 - I have been active in tournament bridge for over 30 years. Currently - Chief Tournament Director of the American Contract Bridge League. The ACBL is the largest bridge organization in the world. With more than 160,000 members, the ACBL is the sanctioning and hosting organization for over 1100 tournaments and 3300 bridge clubs in North America (over 3 million club and tournament tables in 2008). www.acbl.org The ACBL is headquartered in Memphis TN. I've been at headquarters since 2001, with hopes of returning to STL before the end of 2009.

I've been lucky enough to work a handful of World Championships on a contract basis for the World Bridge Federation; most recently in Beijing, China. I spent 3 weeks in their fabulous Olympic Village. Loved the people, loved the country: if you ever get the chance GO to China.

Married once, divorced '83. My one child, daughter Ann (Dayton '04), is a STL police officer. I am hoarding cash for her 5/2/09 wedding to fellow police office Tom Long (Vianney and SEMO).

Like many of my fellow Micks, I continue to appreciate and value the education and foundation given to us by McBride's dedicated staff of Marianists and lay staff.

**************************

12/11 - I have found my way back to St Louis after almost ten years in Memphis. I continue to be active in tournament bridge, but with fewer administrative duties. Thankfully I still enjoy the travel and the people, I am one of the lucky ones. With the birth of my first granddaughter (9/21/11) I may give more consideration to reducing my work load and its travel schedule.

Mike, thanks for all of your efforts in trying to keep us all in touch. Please keep me on your list for those interested in an irregular lunch / brunch. One of these months my work schedule is going to allow me to show my face.

BTW - I've done the golf tournament about 3 times in the last 30 years. I've always had fun when I've been able to attend / play (poorly).

Wait . . . this is my half birthday. Thanks for the 70.5 wishes.

Still working bridge tournaments, though I have pretty much given up the international scene. My daughter (35) and mother (95) continue to pester me about retiring. But, I am one of the lucky ones, in that I really enjoy what I am doing and still get along with the players of all levels.
On area classmates - I'd actually like to see folks more than intermittently. I see Jerry Saxe at Billiken basketball games; hear from Jeff Stephans periodically, but rarely anyone else (of course I still travel ~40 weeks per year). I've thought of trying to get together a quarterly breakfast / brunch or such. May try that in '18.
My sister Judy asked about you right after the reunion, she passes on her 'hello' to you. Thanks for the response.
