John Klesch,
The Christensen story is one all by itself and probably not appropriate to go into on a public forum.
I met you the summer between 8th grade and freshman year.
You lived with your family on Cameron in Glasgow Village, St Pius parish.
There were only 7 of us from the 63137 zip code,
Yourself, your brother jerry and chuck phillips from St pius
Richard maul from St jeromes.
Tom ratz, greg meyer and myself from OLGC.
Your legacy will never recede to the shadows as long as any of your fellow grads are alive.
Ave atque vale,
Hail and farewell.
David
Hail and farewell.
I remember about 15 years ago when you came in for advice.
You were surprised when I pointed out that you were my homeroom teacher and speech teacher freshman year.
Even though you did not remember me I still remember the look on your face when I pulled out my report card from freshman year and told you my secretary was going to type a letter signed by yourself which was going to instruct the archdiocese to change my grade from a B to an A in speech.
You said you would be more than happy but I told him it was just a joke,
I wonder what the reaction would have been down on Lindell blvd on a request for a grade change on a course taken 45 years ago!!!
You always reached out to me which I very much appreciated. The last time that I had the opportunity to see and speak with you was November of 1972.
You will be missed.
You were always a nice guy.
My memories of you were all pleasant.
Rest in peace.
Dad-you have joined your golfing buddies and fellow mcbride grads. Ave atque vale-until we see each other again.
