Received A.B. in 1964 from St. Louis Unviersity and Ph.D. in 1967 from St. Louis University;Professor at Simpson College in Iowa 3 years, and Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville SIUE, 30years; visiting Professor: Univeristy of Zagreb, Croatia, U of Florida, Gainesville, U of California, Berkeley; worked at Ameren Corp developing corporate training for 16 years; CPI Corp, 5 years; started own consulting firm: The Oldani Connection in 2001 for Management Skills, Training,Psychological Assessments and Organizational Development for corporations; worked 7 years for Human Resource Management Corporation in St. Louis doing outplacement for downsized employees; have written 6 books: Sweetness Preserved: The Story of the Crown Candy Kitchen; Passing It On, Folklore of St. Louis, volume 1; Passing It On, volume 2; You Did What in the Ditch: Folklore of the American Quilter; St. Lou-isms: Lingo, Lore, and the Lighter Side of Life in the Gateway City; Christmas in St. Louis: Traditions, Displays, and Celebrations; elected to Great Professor Hall of Fame, 1978; writer of 500 scripts for Johnny Cash radio program, American Folklore on 300 stations; on KMOX (CBS) for 25 years on St. Louis Folklore; produest achievement:induction into McBride Alumni Hall of Fame!
