Went elk hunting for the first time ever in 2010 - got a cow elk at 258 yards, one shot (Thank you USMC). Those are BIG animals! USMC reserves '67-73. E-5 cook. Learned to body surf in the Corps. Been in Colorado since 1979. Self employed since 1988. G.E. dealer. Master Gardener and Plant Clinician volunteer with CSU, president Gardeners of America, Denver - 4 years & Rocky Mountain Region (1 year). President Denver Bassmasters - 6 years (current). Get back to St. Louis at least once each year. Parents are deceased. Still a diehard Cardinals fan (but son-in-law is director of player development for Pittsburgh Pirates). Pull for Mizzou in all sports. Bass fish as often as possible in-state and Texas, OK, N.Mex., KS, NE, MO, UT. Involved in kid's fishing programs. Favorite lakes: Amistad and Fork, TX, Powell, UT. Upland bird hunting. Used to grow big (350# +) pumpkins. Grow a dozen or more tomato plants plus peppers, herbs and various flowers. Love to cook. Had photography published in nat'l calendars and local mags. Triple bypass Jan. '05. Still upright! Cancer radiation Feb - April 2013 - no sign of it now!

Played many sports at McBride. Had record intramural softball distance throw for a while (ha) but didn't play H.S. baseball (wanted faster paced game at the time). Football (C team and varsity), cross country, track, swimming (only year we had a team 1961), soccer.
Enjoyed art class more than any other. Liked speech class. Had a couple favorite teachers and coaches -coach Goodwin, Bro. Molnar (art), Bro. Fitzsimmon (speech).

Rode to school on Mondays during football season with members of football Cardinals (Sonny Randall, Bill Kohman, Ken Panfil, Jerry Stovall). Tore kidney as senior at football practice :-) - missed four weeks and healed fast but returned to play last two games.
