I remember Phil very well as a talented cartoonist while at McBride. He, I and a fellow Blessed Sacrament Parish classmate of his, Pat O'Brien, drew cartoons together. Pat was pretty good, I improved due to Phil's influence, but he was superior to both of us. He was a gentle and loving "friend" I had been contemplating making a trip to San Antonio to visit him but, regreatably, I never put my plan in action. He is now "up there" with Pat and I cannot be too far behind. You can be very proud to have been part of his familly and life.
He will always be remembered in my prayers.
